During Summer 2023, Actavo Events provided event infrastructure for a variety of festivals across Ireland. These included Belsonic, Bloom, Forbidden Fruit, Longitude, The Rose of Tralee, Indie Festival, All Together Now, Body and Soul and Electric Picnic.
Scope of works / Services delivered
Infrastructure provided by Actavo Events included mobile staging and stage protection, seating, crowd control solutions, VMS barriers, draping, rigging, vehicle and pedestrian bridges and trackway panels. The team also provided all transport, equipment and crew required for load-in and load-out of staging including scaffolders, riggers, builders, forklift drivers, 360 teleporter drivers and general operatives. Bespoke infrastructure was also built by Actavo Events where necessary to adapt to site requirements.
Key successes
Many of the festivals Actavo Events worked on during Summer 2023 were repeat events that the team has worked on for a number of years, such as Bloom, Electric Picnic and The Rose of Tralee.
Solutions to challenges
Live on the Harbour Dún Laoghaire and Trinity Summer Series took place on similar dates. Therefore, the events team required a quick turnaround time of 4 days to derig the stage, transport it and reassemble it at the new location. Tight timelines such as this occur on a weekly basis during the Summer months. These require careful planning and co-ordination.
