Actavo Event Solutions, the events division of Actavo, has been contracted by RocDoc as its infrastructure partner for the construction and roll-out of three haulage testing centres in Dublin, Wexford and Gorey. The partnership is in response to the announcement by the French government last week that a negative antigen test result from the previous 72 hours is required for all lorry drivers arriving in the country from Thursday last 28th January.
In a rapid response to the Department of Transport requirement, after signing a contract on Wednesday 27th January, RocDoc requested Actavo’s collaboration to have the centres fully operational on time. The rapid antigen testing for lorry drivers is free and is available at several strategic locations near Dublin Port and Rosslare Europort.
As part of the rapid deployment on behalf of RocDoc, Actavo has provided a complete infrastructure solution for the facilities to include marquees; lighting; heating; cubicle partitioning; flooring; fencing & barriers; ramps; and crew’ project management. A total of 12 personnel have been deployed by Actavo on the project.
Paul Griffin, Commercial Director, Actavo Events Solutions, said: “Actavo is delighted to have been asked by RocDoc to act as its infrastructure partner for this vital project. It was really important that the test centres were deployed, fully functional and fit-for-purpose for RocDoc in the tightest of time frames and the team was delighted to respond positively to this challenge. To deliver this project, we have received great support from our event-based supply-chain and partners. This is a unique period in the history of our island as the authorities look to respond in multiple ways to the pandemic. We have been delighted to respond on this occasion and look forward to being of future positive assistance as called-upon.”
