Actavo Modular showcases progress on Gorey Educate Together Secondary School

Actavo Modular recently completed the first phase of development of a new temporary school for Gorey Educate Together Secondary School in Co. Wexford, awarded under the Department of Education & Skills Prefabricated Modular Volumetric Accommodation Framework. We are delighted to share a video outlining the journey from completion of groundworks in November 2021, to installation of the buildings over the past few months, while off-site fabrication of additional modules took place concurrently at our state of the art 60,000 sq ft Manufacturing Facility in Kill, Co. Kildare.

The first building landed on its foundations only four weeks after starting on site, demonstrating one of the many advantages of off-site construction. Phase 1 of the project has delivered 4 separate buildings, comprising of 53 modules, providing 2,000 m² of accommodation including classrooms, science, home economics and construction studies rooms, staff rooms, admin offices, and ancillary rooms. We are currently completing remaining site works, ready for occupation in September 2022. As the main design and build contractor for this significant project, Actavo Modular is providing a full turn-key service across all construction disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical across all buildings, and all site work and utilities tie-ins. Phase 2 of the project will provide an additional 1,400 m² of accommodation for September 2023. In keeping with our value ‘Live SAFETY’ the Gorey site remained incident and accident-free throughout the on-site construction period.
