Actavo Events wins Best Visual Spectacular Award at Festival Supplier Awards 2022

Actavo Events was delighted to win the award for Best Visual Spectacular at last week’s Festival Supplier Awards, held at the Hurlingham Club in London, on Thursday 27 January.

The award was presented in recognition of the Orchestra of Light, a spectacular drone show. 

Created by St. Patrick’s Festival, Tourism Ireland and Dublin City Council and delivered in collaboration with Intel and Actavo Events, Orchestra of Light was pre-recorded in Dublin in early March. Actavo Events, supported by its supply-chain, provided all the infrastructure to secure the site and surrounding roads around Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, which included heras panels with tildenet cover, crowd control barriers, acoustic panels to reduce noise levels and minimise the impact on local residents, traffic management, event marquees, site accommodation/welfare units and water rescue.

The judges loved the level of detail and said the event looked truly beautiful. They also commented that it was clear that this winner had understood the client brifing, whilst noting that it was an increible team effort to create a fitting visual tribute to the arts and Ireland.

As always, the awards recognised the achievements of the outdoor event supply chain and this year’s event was a celebration of what the industry has achieved during the pandemic.
