Actavo UK is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the Scaffolding and Access Contract for the SSE Keadby 2 Power Station. As part of the design and build element of the project, Siemens ran a very competitive tendering process.
Actavo UK, which is part of the Actavo Group was appointed with a 15-month contract as a result of its expertise and safety culture. In order to deliver a safe and in-programme project, Actavo UK will recruit up to 60 scaffolding personnel from the local and surrounding area. The construction contract may be extended to undertake significant commissioning and maintenance works.

In May 2018, SSE partnered with Siemens to introduce first-of-a-kind, high efficiency gas-fired generation technology. Keadby 2 was first granted planning consent in 1993 and has sought a number of variations since that time to accommodate improvements in technology.
