Actavo Events designed, installed and removed various event infrastructure and a grandstand with tiered seating for the Harry Styles concert in Slane, Co. Meath.
Scope of works
Actavo provided 4 no. spotter towers, a 10m high screen hang for standing viewing, 16 no. signage goal posts, 4 no. VMS platforms, hire of scaffolding tubes and a loading dock. A 3 tiered platform was also provided for disabled viewing. Ramps were provided for the main stage and for event control purposes. Prolyte stage protection was used around the site so non-ticket holders could not congregate in access and egress areas. Bespoke infrastructure was created to accommodate the site, which held 1,641 spectators.
Services delivered
Actavo provided a dedicated project manager who acted as client liaison on site. The team put a contingency plan in place that covered staff, vehicles and infrastructure to accommodate for any unforeseen circumstances. Actavo also took part in a health and safety audit on site, as well as attending daily health and safety meetings to ensure that this was a priority, in line with our core value, Live Safety.
Solutions to challenges
Due to the site being located on a hill, infrastructure was adapted accordingly by the design team, navigating difficult logistics.
Benefits to client
- All budgets were adhered to for this project.
- The Actavo Events team finished 2 days ahead of schedule due to good time management on site.
