Actavo proudly exhibited at WorldSkills Ireland 2026, held from 16-18 September, engaging with students, educators and aspiring apprentices while promoting career opportunities across its Power and Industrial Scaffolding teams.
The event provided an excellent platform to showcase the vital role apprenticeships play in developing the skilled workforce needed to support Ireland's growing construction, infrastructure and energy sectors.
Representatives from Actavo met with visitors throughout the three-day event, sharing insights into career pathways, training opportunities and the rewarding careers available across the business.
Investing in Ireland's Future Workforce
As one of Ireland's leading infrastructure and industrial services providers, Actavo recognises that developing skilled talent is critical to the future success of the construction and utilities sectors.
WorldSkills Ireland brought together industry, education and training providers to inspire the next generation of skilled professionals, making it an ideal opportunity for Actavo to demonstrate the diverse career opportunities available through apprenticeships and vocational training.
The event also reinforced the importance of collaboration between industry and education in addressing future skills requirements and supporting the sustainable growth of Ireland's construction and infrastructure sectors.
Supporting Specialist Apprenticeship Programmes
Actavo currently supports apprentices participating in two specialist programmes delivered at the National Construction Training Campus in Mount Lucas, Co. Offaly.
Electrical Overhead Lines Technician Apprenticeship
Through its Power business, Actavo will support apprentices undertaking the Electrical Overhead Lines Technician Apprenticeship commencing in 2027, helping to develop the specialist skills required to build, maintain and upgrade Ireland's electricity network infrastructure.
As Ireland continues to invest in energy security, grid resilience and renewable energy integration, highly skilled overhead lines technicians will play an increasingly important role in supporting the country's energy future.
Scaffolding Apprenticeship
Actavo's Industrial Scaffolding division also supports apprentices enrolled in the Scaffolding Apprenticeship programme, which combines practical site experience with structured technical training.
The apprenticeship provides participants with the knowledge, technical expertise and strong safety foundations required to work across industrial, pharmaceutical, commercial and major infrastructure projects throughout Ireland and beyond.
Building Careers Through Apprenticeships
At Actavo, apprenticeships are viewed as a key pathway for developing future industry leaders and skilled tradespeople. By combining hands-on experience with formal training and mentorship, apprentices gain the qualifications and practical knowledge needed to build successful long-term careers.
Actavo's participation at WorldSkills Ireland 2026 reflected the company's ongoing commitment to investing in people, supporting apprenticeships and helping to develop the skilled workforce required to deliver Ireland's future construction, industrial and energy infrastructure projects.
Inspiring the Next Generation
WorldSkills Ireland 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with future talent and raise awareness of the wide range of careers available across the construction, infrastructure and utilities sectors.
Actavo was proud to support the event and remains committed to helping shape the future of construction in Ireland by investing in skills development, apprenticeships and the next generation of industry professionals.
