Willie Ryan

Willie joined Actavo as Global EHS Director in 2010. He added IT Director to his role in 2019. Willie has a background in Electrical Engineering, a Health and Safety qualification from University College Cork and a Management Diploma from the Irish Management Institute. He previously ran his own Risk Solutions company for seven years and was Risk Management Strategy Manager for Hibernian Insurance (now Aviva PLC) prior to that.

As Global EHS and IT Director Willie manages the EHS and IT teams across the company. He ensures that Actavo is compliant with legislative requirements, sets EHS and IT business objectives and strategies, maintains ISO accreditations and manages Actavo’s insurance programme. Willie is particularly proud of the Network and In-Home business winning the NISO Supreme Safety Award in 2015 and of the way the company managed operations and kept everyone safe during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Live SAFETY is particularly pertinent to Willie as he drives the safety culture within the organisation.  Perform as a TEAM also resonates with him as he works with people from across all Actavo divisions and countries of operation.

Willie considers himself to be patient and empathetic towards people. He is a good listener and is solutions focused.
