Donal Hennessy

Donal joined Actavo in March 2023 as Group Commercial Director. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics, has a Post Grad Diploma in Construction Law and Contract Administration and is a Fellow of the Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland (FSCSI) and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS). Donal is also holds the position of Chair of the Quantity Surveying Professional Group within the SCSI.

Donal previously worked for Collen Construction for over 25 years, in a number of roles such as Quantity Surveyor, Contracts Manager, Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Director. He has over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry covering industrial, commercial, residential, and pharma sectors, and data centre campus development.

With responsibility for the commercial management of all Actavo projects, Donal supports all commercial personnel in fulfilling their roles in estimating, quantity surveying and commercial management. He is a firm believer in the project team approach to delivering successful projects, mentoring and supporting both commercial and operational personnel in their respective roles. He also ensures that the project team communicates with our Clients ensuring all commercial and operational matters are reported in a timely manner.
