Building

Education – Bartholomew Primary School

The new facility will be made up of 28 modular bays creating a 700m² single storey classroom block; incorporating five classrooms, two fully fitted science laboratory’s, an ICT room , WC’s and a staff Office. The school building will have a truss rafter pitched roof complete in grey concrete tiling in order to match to the existing school building. The bespoke project provides the school with a permanent, flexible and energy efficient building. Mono-draft wind catchers will be installed to help circulate natural ventilation throughout and economically viable PV panels will be located on the roof to increase environmental sustainability and reduce energy costs. The external of the school block will be rendered with a red brick slip applied to the bottom of the building. A cantilever mono-pitch canopy will be installed over the main entrance door to the front of the building and resurfacing works will take place to restore the 1050m² tennis courts to a usable state.
